Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the purchase ledger, ensuring accurate processing of invoices, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers. The ideal applicant will have experience with various accounting software and possess strong data entry and analysis skills.

Responsibilities



Process and verify supplier invoices using accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, or Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) Ensure timely payment of accounts payable in accordance with company policies and supplier terms Reconcile purchase ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly Maintain accurate records of all transactions and update data entry systems regularly Assist with month-end closing procedures related to purchase ledger activities Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to resolve invoice queries efficiently Support the finance team with ad hoc analysis and reporting tasks as required

Qualifications



Proven experience working with accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, PeopleSoft, or Workday Strong data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail Knowledge of accounts payable processes and procedures Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively Analytical skills to interpret financial data and identify discrepancies Experience working within human resources or HRIS systems is advantageous Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise professionally with suppliers and colleagues

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 25,396.00-26,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 18 per week
