Summary
We are seeking a Purchase Ledger assistant to join our team in Newbridge, Edinburgh. The Purchase ledger assistant will play a key role in supporting our business.
Responsibilities
Post all supplier invoices to the ledger, ensuring they are matched to purchase orders where applicable and coded to the correct nominal ledger code and supplier account.
Assist with the weekly payment run ensuring all payments are made on the due dates and for the correct amounts.
Reconciling supplier statements to maintain accuracy.
Assist with the monthly bank reconciliations.
Process customer invoices to internal and external companies.
Distribute uniforms and stationery as requested and placing orders to keep them replenished.
Monthly filing and storage of paperwork.
Welcoming visitors to the building and answering external phone calls
Mail handling
Handle supplier and customer queries efficiently
Generally, assist the teams within the company with general administrative tasks
We require someone with
Good communication skills (verbal and written) for interacting with colleagues and customers.
Organisation skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and maintain a well organised work space
Computer proficiency is essential particularly with excel and word for data entry. Training will be provided for our software.
Team player with a willingness to collaborate with all the team members and support various departments.
This role is perfect some someone to gain a wide range of experience and is looking to start out in purchase ledger. Training and support will be provided. Progression is a strong possibility for the correct candidate. Age from 17+
Due to the location of this office, it would be beneficial to be able to drive to work. Free parking is available on site.
Working Hours are Monday to Friday (8am to 4pm)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: 7.75-12.40 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
