Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing, family owned business based in the South East of England. Based at Company's Accounts Office in Hersden (nr Canterbury) Kent, this is an office based role (with some potential for WFH when absolutely necessary(. The role is full time (approx. 35 hours per week, Mondays - Fridays from 9.00am-5.00pm - with 1 hour lunch break).

Accounts experience required, ideally with AAT part qualifications, and the candidate must be proven to be able to work effectively in a small team and a fast dynamic environment.

The role is to support the accounts function 8 branches of our wholesale business, and the successful candidate will be needed to:

Maintaining the purchase ledger for all branches.

Maintaining expense ledger for all branches

Ensuring all supplier payments are made accurately and on time

Deal with Purchase Ledger queries from Suppliers across all branches, working with Branch Management to resolve any issues.

Providing accurate and timely information to the Finance Manager

General ad-hoc bookkeeping tasks

Assist with month end processes

Answer telephone, and assist in general office management, and any other functions that may be reasonably asked, including collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth operations

Skills:

- Good understanding of basic bookkeeping
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Experience of purchase ledger management

- Experience of working within a small team and company

- Proficient in Sage50 and Microsoft Excel - training will be given for in house software
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Type: Full time

Pay: 12.50- 13.50 per hour
