What You'll Be Doing

As a

Purchase Ledger Clerk

, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our suppliers are paid accurately and on time -- and that our accounts stay precise, compliant, and audit-ready.

You'll work closely with the wider Finance team to:

Process supplier invoices and credit notes quickly and accurately Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies Manage weekly payment runs to keep suppliers happy and operations moving Oversee our invoice approval system and maintain audit-ready records Support with period-end and month-end tasks Assist with year-end audit preparation Provide occasional cover for posting bank transactions Build great relationships with suppliers and internal teams alike Maintain compliance with financial regulations (including the Gambling Act 2005)
This is a role for someone who takes pride in getting things right the first time -- calm, careful, and confident in keeping things accurate under pressure.

What You'll Need

Experience working in finance, accounts payable, or an admin role with financial tasks Great organisation and time management skills Accuracy, attention to detail, and pride in high-quality work Comfortable using Microsoft Excel and learning new systems Clear, confident communication - written and verbal A logical, problem-solving mindset A team-player approach and proactive attitude

Bonus Points If You Have

AAT qualification or are working towards one Experience using SAP or similar accounting software (training provided) An interest in improving processes and working more efficiently
