We are now looking for a talented, ambitious, experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our team at our Honda site in Wakefield and play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of our accounts department.

The Role - what will I be doing?
As a Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the purchase ledger and supporting the accounts team in meeting key financial deadlines. You will ensure accurate recording of supplier invoices, reconcile supplier accounts, and assist with general accounting tasks.
You will do this by:
- Processing and verifying supplier invoices, ensuring they are accurate, properly authorised, and recorded in the purchase ledger
- Ensuring that invoices match purchase orders and goods receipt notes
- Managing and resolving discrepancies between invoices and delivery notes or purchase orders
- Regularly reconciling supplier statements with purchase ledger accounts on a regular basis to ensure accuracy
- Tracking and recording purchase orders
- Assisting in preparing financial reports related to purchase ledger activity
- Assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes by ensuring that all inventory purchases are accurately reflected in the purchase ledger
- Assisting in reconciling inventory records with purchase ledger balances and ensuring that vehicle or parts inventory is correctly valued
- Maintaining accurate and organised records for audit purposes

- Previous experience in a fast-paced environment and able to work under pressure to meet key deadlines.
- Good Written and verbal communication skills.
- Good IT skills are essential.
- Strong Organisational skills, along with good attention to detail.
