Purchase Ledger / Payroll Clerk
to join our Finance Team.
This is a
full-time role
supporting both our day-to-day financial operations and payroll function across two key locations -
the iconic Rugby Stadium in Wakefield
and our
South Kirkby office
.
What You'll Be Doing:
Purchase Ledger Management: Processing and coding invoices, matching invoices against delivery notes, reconciliations, and supplier payment run
Maintaining accurate records and supporting month-end processes
Running monthly payroll for staff and players, maintaining our time & attendance system
Ensuring compliance with HMRC and pension requirements
Daily posting of bank account
Performing banking and cash reconciliations for events and match days
Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc duties
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience in both purchase ledger and payroll (2+ years preferred)
AAT qualified or currently studying towards AAT- required
High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Must be able to commute to both Wakefield and South Kirkby locations
Proficiency with Sage50 Payroll required and Xero accounting software would be advantageous
A team player with a flexible, positive attitude
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel)
