Job Summary:



We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Administrator to join our team at Worktop Fabrications, a UK leading worktop manufacturer. The successful candidate will manage and run the purchasing process, ensuring the timely acquisition of materials, maintaining accurate records, and updating supplier prices.

Key Responsibilities:



Order Processing:



Assist in the preparation and processing of purchase orders. Track and expedite orders to ensure timely delivery of materials. Communicate with suppliers to confirm order status, delivery schedules, and any potential delays.

Inventory Control:



Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate supply of materials. Assist in conducting regular inventory audits and reconciliations. Coordinate with the warehouse and production teams to manage stock levels and avoid overstock or stockouts.

Communication:



Liaise with other departments, such as production planning and finance, to ensure smooth procurement and production processes. Handle inquiries and resolve issues related to orders, deliveries, and payments.

Compliance:



Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all purchasing activities.

Supplier Price Updates:



Regularly update internal supplier prices to reflect market changes. Communicate price changes to relevant departments to ensure accurate budgeting and cost projections.

Qualifications:



Experience:



Minimum of 1 year of experience in a purchasing or administrative role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Skills:



Strong organisational and time-management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience with Sage systems is a plus. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Detail-oriented and meticulous. Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Proactive and able to take initiative.
