We are a leading independent UK based manufacturer of adhesives and primers for the commercial flat roofing market, based in Stone, Staffordshire. Our full range of high performance adhesives and primers are supplied into the market under various private label agreements to world leading manufacturers and system suppliers. We are dedicated to delivering bespoke and exceptional service, tailored to the requirements of each customer.

The Role



We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented

Purchasing Administrator

to join our team and play a vital role in supporting the continued growth of our business. You will provide professional support to the procurement team, acting as a friendly and efficient point of contact for suppliers and customers to ensure an exceptional service experience.

Responsibilities



Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including assisting in sourcing suppliers, placing purchase orders, booking goods in and associated tasks. Assist in negotiating prices, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to ensure optimal value for the company. Utilise inventory management software to assemble goods, track orders, inventory levels, and supplier performance. Coordinate with sales and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and minimise supply chain disruptions. Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and supplier information. Monitor market trends and maintain stock levels. Collaborate with internal departments to understand their procurement needs and forecast future requirements . Ensure compliance with company policies and following manufacturing processes.

The successful applicant will:



Have excellent attention to detail and administration skills. Have effective communication skills for liaising with suppliers, internal teams, and stakeholders Have analytical mindset with attention to detail in data analysis and reporting Be self-motivated, proactive and able to work under own initiative as well as in the team. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively Have a good knowledge of the Microsoft packages. Have previous experience within manufacturing (Advantage) Previous experience of using stock management system including Bills of Materials (Advantage) Previous experience of using accounting software (Advantage but not essential) Training will be given when required.
