Summary
We are looking for an experienced warehousing and purchasing operative to enhance our Romsey Procurement team. Part of your day will be spent ensuring that our store's operation functions seamlessly. The rest of your day will be spent working with our procurement team to ensure the products and material we need to deliver excellent customer experience are available to our Field Engineering work force.
Responsibilities
Responsible for goods in & out- Checking deliveries against delivery notes and reporting any discrepancies to the suppliers and Procurement Manager.
Picking & packing orders ready for collection & dispatch.
Processing returns from site and placing back into stock.
Updating and maintaining stock trackers for project specific items.
Coordinate purchasing activities to ensure timely procurement of goods and services - raising purchase orders, requesting quotes, GRN POs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of goods and services
Querying of invoices with suppliers and requesting credit if necessary
Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to reduce procurement costs.
Assist in the development and implementation of procurement & stores policies, procedures and continuous improvement.
Requirements
Honesty and reliability
Forklift truck experience (preferred)
Confident use of Microsoft Office skills with good IT skills
Confident Negotiator and the ability to communicate at all levels.
