Overview
We are seeking a
Purchasing Officer
to oversee the procurement of raw materials, packaging, and other essential supplies required for production. The ideal candidate will ensure that all purchasing activities are carried out efficiently, cost-effectively, and in compliance with company standards.
You will play a vital role in maintaining supply chain efficiency and supporting our production team to meet customer demands.
Key Responsibilities
Source and purchase raw materials, packaging components, and operational supplies.
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
Maintain and build strong relationships with existing and new suppliers.
Monitor stock levels and forecast future material requirements in collaboration with the production team.
Prepare and issue purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods.
Track and resolve any delivery or quality discrepancies.
Evaluate supplier performance based on cost, quality, and reliability.
Maintain purchasing records and supplier databases accurately.
Work closely with accounts to ensure accurate invoice matching and payments.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.

Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.
Minimum of
2 years' experience
in a purchasing or procurement role, ideally within a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Familiarity with ERP or inventory management systems is an advantage.
Strong understanding of procurement processes and supply chain principles.
Working Environment

Close interaction with the production, warehouse, and finance teams.
Office-based role with occasional supplier or site visits.
