We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Purchasing Clerk to join our procurement team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing purchase orders, maintaining supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely procurement of goods and services essential to our operations. Role description:
Purchase ordering
Areas covered: Third party goods, Ingredients, PPE, Site consumables, Packaging.
Check stock levels, stock turn, seasonal variances and required holding quantities and place orders to arrive in a timely way to avoid stockouts and over stocks.
Working with production to ensure ingredients for seasonal lines are here in line with production schedule.
Keep systems updated with correct pricing, consistent UOM's and supplier details.
Ensure any new/alternative product lines or suppliers are fully checked with Compliance Dept for suitability with regards to company ethos, high welfare & locally sourced where applicable.
Ensure stock is booked in correctly on all systems. Matching Purchase Invoices to Purchase Orders, check for discrepancies with quantities and pricing. Resolve queries and take paperwork to Finance at the end of each day.
Regularly check Safety Culture to request credits from suppliers for goods not delivered to standard.
Set up new products across systems.
Carry out monthly stocktakes for PPE, consumables and ingredients.
3rd Party Production
Plan 3rd party production with a rolling 4 week lead time.
Liaise with production planning to ensure specific requirements are built into the works orders with plenty of notice.
Ensure productions capacity before confirming with 3rd party producer.
Place orders with 3rd party producers.
Seasonal forecasting

Work with Product Manager to plan seasonal purchasing.
