Adapt ems Ltd is a contract electronics manufacturer with a Head Office based in Hitchin, Hertfordshire and a second site based in St Neots, Cambridgeshire.

Overall Purpose of Job



Work as part of a small purchasing team with responsibility to manage the supplier order book, ensuring material delivery dates are accurately reflected within the ERP and any slippages or discrepancies are communicated in a timely manner. Assist with planning by providing clean kit dates.

Responsibilities



Review the overdue order report daily and act upon; communicating with suppliers and internal customers accordingly Progress chase the works-orders as directed by Purchasing/Manufacturing/Sales teams to identify the Last Material Date Weekly review of the Full Demand/Shortage Report to identify potential problems with supply Material pull-forward tasks as requested by customers Provide RAN support for the buyers and stores when required Assist accounts with any invoice queries in a timely manner. Data entry and record detail and amendments on ERP system. Ad-hoc tasks as required as directed by the Purchasing Manager

Experience



Proven experience in a similar role within a contract electronic manufacturing. Experience with ISO9001, ISO13485, TUV, UL Standards. Customer/supplier relationship management experience. Organised and good business acumen. Excellent analytical skills and good attention to detail. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work effectively with other team & department members. Good IT skills including PowerPoint, Excel and Word, vlookups desirable. Self-motivated with a can-do attitude. A flexible approach to work.
