Wyman-Gordon is a world leading manufacturer of Nickel, Titanium and Steel alloy forgings for the aerospace, defence and energy sectors. Part of the major American corporation, PCC, we are a global manufacturer of complex metal components and supply products worldwide to our prestigious blue-chip customers.

An opportunity has arisen for a Purchasing Graduate to join our Operations team based in Livingston. Candidates should have attained a degree in a relevant discipline, preferably either within business or engineering. Most importantly you should also have a passion for pursuing a career path within procurement.

This role will develop to become a key part of the operations team, with responsibility for negotiating contracts and ensuring cost effective supply of MRO commodities. You will also work with other sites within the Group to maximise our purchasing power and obtain the optimum supply route.

Specific responsibilities include supporting purchasing projects as required with the implementation of relevant actions, sourcing new suppliers and obtaining competitive quotes for the business, performing benchmarking and value analysis across the current supply chain, the development of supplier relations and ensuring that purchase requisitions and stock items are ordered in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Whilst a full training & development programme will be put in place to support the successful candidate, the undernoted knowledge and experience is required:

? Some prior experience within procurement.

? Excellent attention to detail

? Strong IT skills - particularly Excel

? Excellent verbal and written communication skills

? Ability to relate with personnel at all levels within the organization

The ability to balance a varied and demanding workload is required as is the desire to continuously improve the processes that we work to.
