Fairport Tunnelling Technologies (FTT) became a newly established division of Fairport Engineering Limited in 2021. Fairport Engineering Limited have now been acquired by pxGroup and as a result FTT has now become pxFairport.



We are an Engineering and Projects Delivery business specialising in the design, installation, management and consultancy of bulk material handling systems across a number of sectors, with specific expertise in tunnelling, aggregates and ports. With long standing industry expertise, our recent history includes successfully delivering projects in the UK, Europe and Asian markets.

The Opportunity

We are now recruiting for a Purchasing Manager at our Fairport Adlington site. As part of the projects team, the Purchasing Manager will be involved in both operational and strategic responsibilities, requiring strong commercial acumen, supplier management skills, and a proactive approach to procurement.


You will play a critical role in ensuring that all goods and services are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required levels of quality.

Minimum Requirements:

CIPS qualification, working towards, or willingness to work towards (Level 3 or above). Proven experience in procurement, preferably within construction, heavy engineering, or process industries. End-to-end supply chain management experience, including cost analysis and global logistics knowledge. Experience working within ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 frameworks. Knowledge of EN standards related to fabricated structures (EN1090).
