Role Description
We are seeking a full-time Purchasing Manager, with Hotel contracting as the prime focus, to join our team in North West London. In this office-based role, the Purchasing Manager will oversee the procurement of travel and tour services, negotiate contracts with suppliers, and manage vendor relationships to ensure cost-efficiency and quality. The role also includes monitoring inventory, streamlining purchasing processes, analysing market trends to make informed purchasing decisions, and ensuring compliance with budget guidelines and company policies. Collaboration with internal teams and maintaining accurate procurement records are also key responsibilities.
Qualifications
Strong, proven negotiation skills within the Hotel industry
Ability to interact with senior level management service providers
In possession of a tenacious , results-driven approach to tasks
Ability to meet deadlines through excellent organisational skills
a minimum of 5 years experience in the travel, tourism, or hospitality industry
Flexible team player willing to support other departments as required
Existing contacts within the Hotel and tourism industry
Proficiency in French and English required with additional languages considered beneficial for a role that will evolve as the company embraces new business needs
Accurate detail-orientated approach with strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities
Effective communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
Minimum "A" level/higher education or equivalent
Good level of IT proficiency including use of excel and Microsoft office
