Established in London in 1814 Purdey are today world renowned for the finest craftsman made side by side and over and under shotguns and double barrel and bolt action rifles, each one fully bespoke to their client's specifications and needs. Purdey's exclusive range of men and women's shooting and country clothing and accessories reflects the same attention to detail.

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Retail Supervisor to support our Purdey store at the prestigious Royal Berkshire. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales performance, cultivating client relationships, and ensuring the boutique reflects the unparalleled standards of the Purdey brand. This is a unique opportunity to manage a luxury retail environment that celebrates tradition, craftsmanship, and the contemporary country lifestyle.

HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT:

Customer Service

Greeting customers who enter the shop. Assisting customers to find the goods and products they are looking for. Giving advice and guidance on product selection to customers. Provide customer with brand/garment knowledge if required. Answering queries from customers. Give the customers an enjoyable, relaxing shopping experience. Responsible for dealing with customer complaints.

Stock Control

Buyer for the department. Managing stock levels across the department. Re-stocking shelves with merchandise once they have sold. Receiving and storing the delivery of stock. Ensuring price tags are correct and attached to all merchandise on the shop floor.

Shop Maintenance

Responsible for the Visual Merchandising of the shop Keeping the store tidy and clean, this includes hoovering and mopping of all areas and cleaning of glass cabinets/shelving etc. Ensuring stock room is kept tidy. Keeping up to date with special promotions and putting up displays. Refreshing the shop displays when required.

Financial

Dealing with customer refunds/exchanges. Being responsible for processing cash and card payments. Balancing cash registers with receipts at end of day.

Other

Responsible for security within the store and being on the lookout for shoplifters, fraudulent credit cards and bank notes. Reporting discrepancies and problems to the Gun Room & Retail Manager

HOW WILL YOU EXPERIENCE SUCCESS WITH US?

Experience in retail, ideally in luxury retail Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and client relationship-building skills. A genuine passion for fashion, luxury retail, and/or the country lifestyle. Proven ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Flexibility to work a schedule that includes weekends and holidays. Basic proficiency in POS systems and Microsoft Office (or equivalent) suite.
