About The Role
Join our Business Intelligence team as a Python Report Developer at our state-of-the-art Head Office in Barton-Upon-Humber.
You'll maintain and develop our in-house reporting system using SQL (MySQL), Python, and some PHP, working closely with the BI Manager and Senior Analysts to gather requirements and build datasets for our Data Warehouse.

Main Responsibilities:

• Creation of SQL Reports and resulting delivery in web pages on our reports system.
• Maintenance and improvements of existing reports
• Continued improvements to our in-house reporting system/framework
• Review current architecture and propose new solutions for presenting performance data
• Define requirements for implementation of tables and structures in our Data Warehouse to replace existing inefficient queries and logic.

About You
About you:

• Advanced SQL (MySQL, Oracle, ANSI) - complex queries, joins, CTEs, optimization, and indexing.
• 2+ years of Python experience - Flask (routing, templates, REST APIs), SQLAlchemy, and pytest.
• Ability to read/update legacy PHP scripts and generate JSON/HTML outputs.
• Strong frontend skills - CSS, Bootstrap, and JavaScript (ES6+, fetch/AJAX).
• Proficient with Git - branching, merging, and deployment flow.
• Comfortable with Linux - terminal use, logs, cron jobs, and script execution.
• Familiar with Power BI (or similar), REST APIs, and Docker.
• Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and collaborative communication.
