The QA Analyst reports directly to Principal Digital Platform Architect (Global IT/Anatomy) The location of this role is based in the UK, and is based remotely.




The QA Analyst is responsible for designing and executing test plans to ensure product quality. Collaborating closely with development teams, they interpret specifications, requirements, and user stories to define effective test criteria and identify gaps in coverage.



They log findings using designated tools, escalate defects appropriately, and support the sprint cycle by aligning testing activities with release schedules. The QA Analyst also contributes to release decisions.



To investigate issues, they analyse software inputs/outputs, review logs, query databases, and use technical tools to validate functionality. They verify customer-reported defects, ensuring issues are well-documented and reproducible.



The role involves compiling regular test exit reports and managing multiple projects simultaneously, requiring strong prioritisation skills and the ability to challenge delivery risks.


Responsibilities:




Carry out testing on: + Applications

+ Databases
Plan, design and execute tests verifying the output matches requirements/acceptance criteria. Plan, design, and execute tests to ensure software is performant, secure, reliable, portable, extendable, and maintainable. Plan, design, and execute tests which ensure our software is suitable for the target audience. Monitor, edit and create new automated tests Carefully analyse data to ensure data in matches data out. Log and track bugs and defects via DevOps in a SCRUM environment Participate in reviews with developers and software architects, applying knowledge of typical defects in the code and architecture. Owning actions, following up on actions of others Identify technical issues and escalate as appropriate. Identify and flag risks to project delivery. Analyse data feeds and API end-point outputs Identify and advise on suitable test tools and technologies. Replicate and evaluate reported bugs and defects, assess the impact, and recommend remediation priorities. Any work which is reasonably associated with the role.

Experience:




ISTQB Technical Test Analyst qualification or relevant experience

Experience of working within an Agile SCRUM environment
