Lorax EPI are looking to recruit a QA Analyst to join their growing team. Working at the forefront of our QA team, to support the software development of our cloud based environmental software, focusing on leveraging technical depth and capacity for independent work, along with a collaborative spirit to advance goals effectively.

To be considered for this role, you need at least 3 years of QA experience working in an agile environment, along with:

Demonstratable experience of cloud-based technologies (AWS). Strong frontend and backend testing experience. Strong database experience: MS SQL and dynamo. Data testing and validation experience. Strong understanding of ETL's and how to test them. Strong integration testing experience using Lambda wrapper / microservice or knowledge of JSON structures. Experience with AWS serverless or similar technologies. Strong understanding of release approaches and risks associated. ISTQB Foundation. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Industry curiosity and motivation to explore emerging trends, tools, and methodologies. Environmentally conscious individual. With an interest in developing environmental regulation technologies.
Nice to have but not required:

Experience using: Postman, K6, JMeter, Burp. Basic automation knowledge, desire to learn automation. Experience with performance / load testing.

Key Result Areas/Principal Responsibilities



Develop and maintain test cases for both functional and non-functional tests, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and efficient test execution. Contribute to the improvement of quality team and suggest enhancements to optimize testing processes and outcomes. A solid understanding of test techniques and approaches, ensuring high quality and reliability testing. Identify and analyse test results to uncover potential risks and work closely with developers to prioritize and resolve defects. Collaborate with the development team to understand requirements and provide input on testing strategies and best practices. Design and execute a variety of test types, including functional, regression, integration, performance, and security tests, ensuring the product meets quality standards. Communicate test results and defect impacts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, assisting in the prioritisation of defect resolution. Investigate and troubleshoot system issues, helping to identify root causes and work towards permanent solutions. Actively participate in agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, ensuring effective task management and delivery. Coach and mentor testers. Foster a collaborative team environment, providing feedback and encouraging open communication. Demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous learning.

Hybrid Statement



This role requires full-time office attendance during the initial 6-month probation period to ensure effective onboarding and collaboration with the team. Upon successful completion of probation, and with the agreement of your manager, the role will transition to a hybrid work arrangement, allowing for up to 3 days of remote work per week, depending on business needs and team requirements.
