We are looking for a skilled
QA Automation Engineer II
to join our IT team in East Grinstead, UK. This hybrid role combines traditional quality assurance automation with critical production support for our applications on a European time zone. The ideal candidate will ensure our software applications meet quality standards while maintaining the reliability and performance of our production systems that support Fender's global operations.

Main Responsibilities
Proposing, designing, building and supporting the system for automated testing of our applications and services developed by the IT eCommerce team to ensure they are ready for consumption by the end users (i.e. dealer portal, internal sales force, etc.).
Working closely with the development and QA team to write automated test cases and executing them as part of automated deployment process and continuous integration.
Research, prototype and propose a reliable, highly functional solution for automated testing of all the applications and services.
Establish performance benchmarks and ensure adherence to agree to metrics.
Provide test verification across the in-scope OS and browser version for each application and service.
Work with software developers to identify prime Design-for-Testability opportunities.
Keep up to date the regression test suite after every release to Production.
Ability to generate execution reports and give tracking of it with defects management.
Coordinate with Europe team on issue identification and resolution status
Monitor production systems and respond to alerts and incidents
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner
Document incidents, root cause analysis, and resolution procedures
Coordinate with development teams for production deployments and rollbacks
Maintain production environment stability and performance
Monitor AWS cloud services, troubleshoot issues, escalate as needed
Monitor batch jobs, ETL processes, and scheduled tasks
Ensure proper alerting and escalation procedures are in place
Business analysis activities (requirements gathering, operations support, documentation)
Qualifications and
Skills:
Bachelor's degree in related field
Preferable knowledge of playwright automation framework.
Experience using Postman for automation of Rest APIs, Lambdas and Data Loaders.
Well-developed knowledge base of web user-interface technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript and AJAX.
Highly developed coding skills.
Working knowledge of AWS and various services they provide.
Knowledge of QA procedures, principles, and tools.
Strong analytical and trouble-shooting skills.
Knowledge of full development cycle - from requirements through post-release, specifically following an Agile/Scrum methodology.
Able to work independently and in a team environment.
Effective verbal and written communication skills (English mandatory, Spanish a plus)
Analytical thinking.
Yocto/OpenEmbedded recipe development (Renesas, NXP experience preferred)
GUI development for embedded devices using frameworks like QT
Real-time audio processing experience, multicore programming experience
Linux kernel development, or real-time patch experience
Experience using a standard software testing framework such as Selenium or Cypress.
Must have experience writing automated test, not just executing automated tests
