About the role

Main Role:

To assist with and improve / design implement processes and or procedures / systems as part of continued improvement to Good Manufacturing Practices to produce safe, legal and quality foods.

Duties of the Role Include:

To assist the Technical Manager to maintain the Quality Assurance and nutritional standards in order to produce safe food in compliance with the BRC Higher Level accreditation every year QC, QA and Hygiene checks in production / monitoring processes, documents and controls - making notes and signing random checks on cleaning checklists in factory. Providing feedback to TM. Reporting plant issues to facilities for action Collecting samples for testing as part of complaint investigation Collecting product samples for weekly micro testing (plus monthly / 6 monthly / annual testing) according to program Carrying out swabs for weekly or monthly testing (hands, drains, enviro, validation) ATP Testing - following weekly program, writing up results. Repeating failures Collecting samples for shelf life testing, organising and participating in tasting panels every month. Organising micro testing every 3 months. Carrying out portion weight checks of products Scales and thermometer calibration checks Blade, glass and plastic checks Collating documents for investigations - high results / complaints Local cooking traceability tests Pest control SGS laboratory key contact Internal auditing Collecting and organising weekly in house tasting sessions Execute operations as per SAGE compliance Monthly testing to be carried out including but not limited meat species, allergens, titration, IDDSI Review and file all factory paperwork, ensuring it is compliant with audit requirements To undertake any duties set to you by the Management team that will assist in the day to day running of the Company, providing training has been carried out
