IPP Scomark is a leading manufacturer and bespoke fabricator of specialist piping products.

Job Responsibilities/Duties



1. Perform FINAL visual and dimensional inspection of manufactured products in accordance with industry standards, for example; ASME B16.9.

2. Perform IN-PROCESS visual and dimensional inspection of manufactured products in accordance with industry standards, for example; ASME B16.9.

3. Input data into approved dimensional templates to determine product compliance.

4. Raise NCR's to identify product concerns or non-conformance.

5. Liaise with client and third party inspectors on witness final inspection activities.

6. Present at daily NDT/Inspection meetings to discuss QC concerns and findings and review the daily inspection requirements from the HSEQ Supervisor.

7. Maintain the calibration log for externally calibrated and internally calibrated equipment.

8. Carry out internal calibration of metrology equipment.

9. Support the day to day operations of the QA, technical and production departments.

10. Development of inspection forms/templates and works instructions for inspection activities, both at Final and In-process stages.

11. Review of Specification data base for up-to-date revisions.

12. Review of Engineering drawings for verification of inspection techniques.

13. Measurement of sub-contracted products for compliance of final process activities.

14. Liaison and resolution with sub-contracts/sub-suppliers over Non-conforming product.

15. Support the delegation, training, development and awareness of workshop employees with in-process inspection.

16. Liaise with workshop supervisors on concerns and/or findings.

17. Delegate tasks to other IPP inspectors and supervisors as required.

18. Other duties as required by the HSEQ Management.

Education & Special Training



Preferred;

1. Knowledge of the piping materials and products used in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical and Nuclear industries.

2. Excellent knowledge of National and International material manufacturing standards, for example, ASME, ASTM, ISO, API and NORSOK.

Required;

1. Proven career history in Inspection role.

2. Experience in a supervisory role.

3. Experience in reading technical/engineering drawings.

4. Knowledge and awareness of manufacturing practises and associated standards.

5. Knowledge and awareness of metrology equipment.

6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

8. Excellent computer literacy (365 Applications).

Minimum 3 years in industry experience of similar role.

Willing to travel to company, customer or supplier locations.

Willing to support the NDT department as required.
