Trucksmith Limited is looking for an efficient, reliable, effective, hardworking QC inspector / Pre Delivery Inspector to join the Production Team at our Uffculme site.
The successful Quality inspector will support the Executive Production Manager to meet the required levels of quality for their department. They will, through collaborative working with the Line Managers inspect each vehicle as it comes off the Production line following a strict QC criteria ensuring that the vehicles are built within the specified guidelines. After the inspection is complete, the Quality Inspector will ensure the vehicle has it's final PDI which may include duties such as a valet, wash and further testing. The Quality inspector will work with the Production Management Team and strive to continually improve using Lean tools to quality. They must be energetic and flexible in order to provide an efficient and professional service to all that are counting on them.
As a QC Inspector, it would be an advantage to have a knowledge of the commercial vehicle industry however what Trucksmith is really looking for is a highly effective individual with a great eye for detail and who wants to continually improve a product.
Responsibilities
Lead by example, ensuring a safe and efficient work place is maintained at all times
Ensure safe working practices are maintained and 'Standard Operations' adhered to
Achieve and improve the required company quality standards ensuring both internal and external customer satisfaction
Ensuring that QC Criteria is monitored and targets achieved
Ensure that non-conformance is challenged and counter-measures are agreed and implemented
Through the utilisation of lean manufacturing techniques, strive to exceed the company targets quality on a continuous basis
Support the implementation of engineering changes, production trials and model changes
Ensure that internal delivery processes are adhered to support dispatch times
Support the resolution of Customer concerns. Identify and eliminate root cause using robust countermeasures.
Requirements
Significant work experience in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge and understanding of lean techniques may be advantageous
Proven track record within QC / QA roles
Embraces personal challenge
