The Opportunity:
You'll be joining our amazing Quality Department as a Quality Inspector. The hours of work are 37.5 per week, 6am -2pm. Working within a fast paced environment, with a focus on continuous improvement, right in the heart beat of the business.
The Person:
The ideal candidate must be able to take a logical and process orientated approach to implementing and monitoring the Quality Management System, policies and procedures with an understanding of acceptable quality limits and risk assessments to make decisions and advise factory operatives during the course of production. Must be able to prioritise their workload efficiently and work with other departments including production, supply chain, and commercial on a daily basis. Must be flexible in attitude to work and willing to cover other shifts as and when required.

Based at: Expac (Preston) Ltd based at Units 1 & 2, Tomlinson Road Leyland, Preston, PR25 2DY
Role Purpose:
To ensure the Company's Quality Management System, GMP, policies and procedures are implemented as daily working practice throughout the manufacturing process from goods in to dispatch of finished goods to produce right first time, safe and legal products conforming to agreed specifications.
Duties/Areas of Responsibility:
Ensure the daily implementation of the Quality Management System, policies and procedures
Ensure all product manufactured is safe, legal and to the agreed specification
Implement and monitor GMP throughout the factory
Ensure document control is adhered to
Complete line clearance and in-process adjustments, supporting production to aid efficient production
Monitor in-process checks during production
Conduct equipment calibration, in-process audits, GMP and Glass & Plastic audits
Support with continuous improvement of the Quality Management System
Support the production team with operative training
Provide support during customer visits and accreditation audits
Submit and control laboratory samples
Product / sku set up
Provide support across all areas of the Quality function as and when required
Key Skills & Attributes:
Previous experience in a similar quality role is desirable
A level 2 HACCP and Internal Audit qualification would be desirable
Attention to detail regarding accuracy and precision of all documentation and products
Understand and demonstrate the importance of commercial awareness
Excellent verbal written, visual communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact as part of a cross functional team
Enthusiastic and passionate about learning new skills
Ability to investigate root cause and suggest corrective/preventative actions
Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise workload
