Role Summary:
Reporting to the Lead Quality Assurance Engineer, the QC Operator is responsible for inspecting and testing piece parts, sub-assemblies and final products in line with company processes and quality standards and for producing the quality documentation associated with these items.
Qualifications Required/Essential Skills:
5 GCSE's or equivalent including Maths and English
NC/BTEC in Electrical/Electronic or Mechanical Engineering or relevant experience in a quality control role is preferred
IPC-A-610 inspection qualified preferred
Duties and Responsibilities (not exhaustive):
Undertake testing of components and finished products, utilising appropriate test equipment and resources, and following approved test documentation, interpreting recorded results to ensure they are fit for purpose and fully comply with the company's and customer's specifications
Create and complete accurate structured test logs/reports ensuring all applicable data is collected and recorded as required
Accurately receive items into inventory, noting and understanding the significance of inventory transactions and the wider impact they can have in the business
Complete detailed quality documentation, including test reports and non-conformance reports, as required by operations management and specified by external customers
Maintain QC test equipment; performing calibration tasks as and when required, ensuring faults are reported to line management immediately.

Skilled in the use of MS Office (Word / Excel / Outlook)
Strong team work background
Ability to follow instruction
Ability to deal with a pressurised environment
