The Opportunity



We are looking to recruit an experienced 'hands-on' Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety Coordinator with a 'can do' attitude. Reporting to the QEHS Manager, the QEHS Coordinator will support all QEHS functions within the business. This is a fast-paced role, in a growing business, requiring someone with a proactive mindset, flexible approach and attention to detail. The successful candidate must be highly organised, reliable, and possess excellent communication & interpersonal skills.

Role & Responsibilities:



Carry out and review risk assessments and support operations to prioritise and manage actions and implementing additional control measures Carry out and review COSHH assessments and assist operations with implementing additional control measures Carry out workplace inspections and audits in accordance with ISO9001, 45001 and 14001 Coach and advise on QEHS matters, have a presence on shop floor to assist with general enquiries Support the day-to-day delivery of the QEHS function across all operational areas Assist in the development and delivery of SOP's and toolbox talks Ensure all safety and quality records are maintained and are accurate Support in the investigation of accidents/ incidents Support and ensure adequate induction training. Ensure emergency preparedness and coordinate and manage effective drills against identified scenarios Manage data entry, reporting, and documentation within QEHS systems. Help to oversee PPE stock, issue, and inventory control. To develop and manage HSE systems to ensure continued certification to relevant standards including 45001, 14001, 9001 and any other business-relevant standards or certifications Work with the management team to prioritize and manage customer expectations and address actions in relation to customer complaints, non-conformances, internal and external audits Ensure quality audits and daily checks are carried out regularly. Compile reports on data for the Senior Leadership Team to show audit results, trends, KPI figures Brief production teams on quality issues relevant to them. Assist in arranging occupational health surveillance Assist in arranging inspections, surveys and risk assessments by external experts, such as LOLER, DSEAR, Legionella, asbestos and fire, review reports and add actions to action planner. Assist in arranging workplace air and noise monitoring.

What you'll need to succeed



NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety Minimum 2 years' experience in a QEHS role within manufacturing or engineering Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 Standards Experience conducting internal audits to ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 Standards Experience in creating and delivering SOP's and Toolbox Talks Good knowledge of current Health & Safety legislation, including DSEAR, confined space and COSHH regulations Detail-oriented with strong organization and time management skills Effective communicator with confidence to engage at all levels Proactive problem solver with a hands-on approach Resilient and adaptable under pressure Committed to continuous improvement and maintaining high QEHS standards Strong and positive self-starter with the ability to drive tasks autonomously Attention to detail and analytical thinking Pragmatic risk-based approach to problem solving and continuous improvement Proficient with Microsoft Office

Hours of Work



36 hours per week

Monday - Thursday 07:30 - 17:00 (4 day working week)

N.B. We will be closed for our summer shutdown from Thursday 31st July to Friday 8th August, therefore we will respond to all applications when we return.



Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to 33,000.00 per year
