Wild Water Group is a leading provider of cold storage, distribution and technical services across Wales and Southwest England. We are looking for an experienced

QHSE Officer

to support and strengthen food safety, quality, and compliance standards across our temperature-controlled storage sites. This is a hands-on, influential role suited to someone who thrives in auditing, coaching site teams, and driving continuous improvement.

Experience within food or warehousing environments is advantageous.

Office Base: Cardiff or Aberbargoed (with travel across Wales & Southwest England)

Key Responsibilities

Lead and conduct internal audits across all sites to ensure compliance with company policies, BRCGS, retailer standards, and legal requirements Support sites with preparation for third-party and customer audits, including gap analysis and audit readiness reviews Identify non-conformances and manage the follow-up, close-out, and verification of corrective and preventive actions Support delivery of the Food Safety and Quality Culture programme across sites Verify that corrective actions from audit findings are effectively implemented and sustained Participate in BRCGS and customer audits where required, ensuring full compliance Provide coaching and guidance to site teams to build technical capability and ownership of standards

What You'll Need to Be Successful

Strong work ethic with a proactive, hands-on approach Proven experience in food technical auditing/Internal Auditor qualification Strong working knowledge of food safety systems, BRCGS, HSE, and relevant food legislation Ability to coach, influence, and build strong working relationships across site teams Excellent communication, organisation, and report-writing skills Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and determine root causes Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly between sites

Desirable Qualifications

HACCP (Level 2 or above) Intermediate or Advanced Food Safety (Level 3 or above) IOSH or NEBOSH qualification
