Qhse Specialist

If you're someone who genuinely cares about quality, safety, and getting things right - this could be a great fit. I'm working with a small but highly specialised manufacturing business on the Cambridgeshire/Suffolk border who are on the lookout for a QHSE Specialist to join their team.
This is a varied and hands-on role, ideal for someone with a background in quality, health & safety, and environmental systems in a chemical or pharmaceutical manufacturing setting. You'll be working closely with the QHSE Manager to maintain and improve the systems that keep the team safe, compliant, and delivering top-quality products.
What you'll be doing:
- Supporting the running of the quality management system (ISO 9001:2015).
- Getting involved in internal audits, investigations, and change control.
- Helping maintain documentation, manage non-conformances and customer complaints.
- Supporting health & safety programmes - from risk assessments to contractor compliance.
- Assisting with the day-to-day running of the QC lab and working alongside technical colleagues.
- Preparing for and supporting external audits.
- Experience in QA and H&S within a fine chemical or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
- Good knowledge of ISO 9001, and ideally exposure to 14001 and 45001.
- Auditing experience and a sharp eye for compliance.
- Comfortable working in a small, collaborative team where you'll wear a few hats.
- NEBOSH preferred (IOSH as very minimum)
