Acteon Geo-Services (GS) are looking to source a Quality Lead on a full time, permanent basis. Based at our facility in either Wokingham or Aberdeen; the role holder will report directly to the Head of QSSHEF. This is an entirely new role that will define and set high standards for Quality. This is to be achieved by establishing a new Quality management system, including the development of Quality Standards and Procedures, and by providing Quality Assurance to the business with regards to the effectiveness of its Quality systems and maturity of its Quality culture.




Duties & Main Responsibilities


- Be the advocate for robust Quality Assurance and Control.


- Develop and implement a Quality Management System for products and services.


- Provide Quality Assurance, including but not limited to internal audits to verify compliance with internal and external requirements.


- Develop Quality improvement plans together with local teams, tracking actions until closed, reporting on progress to the GS management team.


- Consult with the QSSHEF Assurance & Programme Lead with regards to ISO 9001 compliance and internal audit programmes.


- Manage quality document and record control via the QSSHEF Administrator.


- Supervise via dotted line report, any QC personnel/activities within Geo-Services, and make recommendations where there is a business need.


- Ensure that all products and services meet the required industry standards.


- Liaise closely with the Head of Supply Chain to continuously improve supply chain quality.


- Conduct internal quality audits and support external audits such as supplier audits.


- Compliance with Acteon and GS Policies and Standards.


- Use authority to stop work when risk is not suitably or sufficiently controlled.


- Holds authority to author and own Quality Standards and procedures.


- Holds authority to request proposals from Vendors and raise purchase orders.


- Holds authority to sign invoices for goods/services received upon confirmation.


- Does not have authority to sign contracts on behalf of an Acteon business entity.




Required


- Level 4 Quality Assurance qualifications and 3+ years in a QA role; or,


- 5+ years in a wholly Quality Assurance roles with demonstrable progression.


- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, willing to reach Master Black Belt within 24 months.


- Must hold a valid Passport and must not have any convictions that would prevent overseas travel.


- Experience of writing ITP, MRB, etc.


- Engineering, manufacturing, assembly, or fabrication experience.


- Intermediate understanding of Microsoft Office/365 applications.


- Excellent report writing.


- International experience preferred.
