As a growing accountancy firm with a strong reputation, we're looking for a Qualified Accountant to join our team and support our expanding client base.
Role Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, preparing financial statements, tax returns, and offering tailored advice. This role offers exposure to a variety of industries and an opportunity to work in a supportive and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare statutory accounts and management reports for a range of clients.
Complete and file VAT returns, corporation tax, and self-assessment tax returns.
Maintain and reconcile client records using cloud-based accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage).
Liaise directly with clients, offering financial and tax advice where appropriate.
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
Support junior staff and assist with client onboarding and queries.
Requirements:
ACA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified (or equivalent).
Experience working in a practice/accountancy firm environment.
Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting and tax standards.
Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent communication skills and client-focused attitude.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and client accounts efficiently.
