Overview:

We are seeking Qualified Bank Staff members to join our team in providing excellent childcare services. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, possess strong communication skills, and be able to manage various tasks efficiently.

Barn Owls preschool - Bank staff

Hourly Rate: 12 .40 - 12.55 per hour (dependant on qualification/s and experience)

Location: Shirley, Southampton

Working as a qualified Bank Staff Member within our preschool you will have the security and benefits of being an employee but with flexibility to work when you want!

You must be able to show initiative and creativity to encourage an environment where young children are supported and encouraged to achieve their full potential.

A good knowledge of the EYFS is essential and you must have a childcare qualification such as NVQ/CACHE level 3 or higher.

Previous experience working with children (Nursery Practitioner, Nursery Nurse, Early Years Educator, Nanny, Childminder or similar) is essential for this role.

Candidates are required to be flexible and adaptable

What you'll be doing

Support colleagues with their delivery of the EYFS, by engaging children in entertaining and educational play and activities, encouraging their development towards key milestones, and ensuring their safety throughout the day Work as part of a team to ensure all day-to-day tasks are completed in line with the preschool schedule i.e. hygiene & safety standards and room preparation Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety and safeguarding Work with colleagues to maintain a positive, happy and safe environment
