Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our team at LS10 Dental Care. As a Dental Nurse, you will assist the dentist during dental procedures, provide patient care, and ensure the smooth operation of the dental practice. Your attention to detail and ability to work well in a fast-paced environment will contribute to the overall success of our dental practice.

The position involves a rotation of different duties in the working week which includes: chairside nursing, instrument decontamination and reception work.

Duties:
- Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary equipment is ready
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, handing them instruments and materials as needed
- Develop dental X-rays as instructed by the dentist
- Prepare and maintain patient records, including updating medical histories and recording treatment information accurately
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist, ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout procedures
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care instructions
- Maintain inventory of dental supplies and order new supplies as needed
- Follow infection control protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment

Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively
- Proficient in maintaining accurate records
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments
- Ability to work well in a team environment, collaborating with dentists, hygienists, and other dental staff members
- Exceptional customer service skills, ensuring patients feel comfortable and well cared for during their visits

Working hours: Monday to Friday - 8:30am to 5:00pm (TOTAL: 37.5 hrs a week)

The ideal candidate needs to have the relevant GDC registration and Dental Nursing qualification.

CPD subscription and indemnity insurance paid for by employer.

Support provided for those who wish to progress their career with Extended Duties.

Starting at an hourly rate of 12.00 (negotiable depending on experience).
