qualified, GDC-registered Dental Nurse

What You'll Need
National Certificate or NVQ Level 3 in Dental Nursing
Current
GDC registration
Valid
indemnity insurance
Post-qualification dental nursing experience
Up-to-date
CPD portfolio
Hepatitis B immunisation
Enhanced DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service)
- must be current or willing to obtain one before starting
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Confidence working in a fast-paced practice environment
Key Responsibilities
Your role will include (but is not limited to):
Assisting clinicians and hygienists with chair-side support
Escorting patients to and from the surgery, ensuring they feel welcome and cared for
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records
Sterilisation and decontamination of instruments in line with
HTM 01-05
standards
Ensuring surgeries are fully stocked, equipped, and ready for procedures
Monitoring and assisting with stock control
Ensuring compliance with infection control protocols and practice policies
Supporting general admin and
reception cover when needed
Reporting and recording any issues with dental equipment and ensuring maintenance is followed up
