Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse/Receptionist to join our dynamic team. As a Dental Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our dental professionals. Your responsibilities will encompass assisting with various dental procedures, assisting on the reception desk, ensuring the comfort of patients, and maintaining an organised and efficient clinical environment.

Duties

Assist dentists during examinations and treatments, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available. Provide high-quality patient care by reassuring patients, explaining procedures, and addressing any concerns they may have. Maintain accurate patient records, including treatment plans and medical histories, using appropriate IT systems. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including infection control protocols. Sterilise instruments and maintain a clean working environment to promote patient safety. Support the administrative team with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow within the practice.

Skills

Strong patient care skills with a focus on empathy and understanding. Proficient in English, both written and verbal, to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues. Background in nursing or relevant healthcare experience is advantageous. IT skills to manage electronic patient records efficiently. Excellent communication skills to foster positive relationships with patients and team members. Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
