Job Description

We are looking for a part-time Registered Qualified Dental Nurse to work in this very fast growing state of the art dental practice. To work Monday - Friday 8:30am-5:00pm, Saturdays 8.30am - 2.30pm. It will be your responsibility to Keep clinical areas, equipment, and instruments clean, tidy, and sterile in accordance with HTMO-105.Provide chair side assistance ensuring correct materials and instruments are available. Ensure all machinery are managed correctly following manufactures instructions and regular checks are completed. Set up surgery for the day, close surgery ensuring all cleaning has been completed following our daily check lists. Have knowledge and comply with health and safety rules including PPE, COSHH, infection prevention, waste disposal, mercury handling and spillages. Disinfect laboratory work and keep a log of sent and received lab work. Ensure surgeries are stocked with materials and instruments accordingly, ensure patient records are accurately maintained and stored. Consult with reception, managing appointments and records, assisting with administrative tasks when needed, greeting, and assisting patients with a friendly professional manner. Follow and implement clinical policies and procedures to comply with legislation, treat patients and colleagues with dignity and respect. Maintain professional behavior and appearance.

Job Specification:

GDC registered Indemnity GCSE level or equivalent in math and English Level 3 Diploma Dental Nurse DBS check Be familiar with the role in dental settings and terminology Have knowledge in infection control, first aid, data protection, Information governance. Have basic computer skills Committed to personal development Enthusiastic, friendly, approachable with excellent patient care
