A qualified dispenser typically holds an NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services Skills or a similar qualification, along with prior experience.
Key responsibilities
Dispensing acute and repeat prescriptions accurately and efficiently, following standard operating procedures and regulations.
Providing customer service by speaking to patients, answering questions, and advising them on over-the-counter medicines.
Maintaining and updating patient medication records.
Managing and organizing medication stock, including recording controlled drugs.
Ensuring the dispensary area remains clean, tidy, and well-organized
