Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our team for a January start. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in nurturing and developing the learning experiences of young children. This position requires a commitment to fostering a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment where children can thrive and reach their full potential.

A job share will be considered with either 2 or 4 days per week available.

Duties

Plan and implement engaging educational activities that promote the physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development of children. Create a warm and welcoming atmosphere that encourages children to explore, learn, and express themselves. Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians on their development. Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive educational programme that meets the needs of all children. Maintain a safe and clean environment in accordance with health and safety regulations. Support children in developing social skills through play-based learning experiences. Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.

Experience

A relevant qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare is essential (e.g., Level 2/3 Diploma in Childcare and Education). Previous experience working with young children in an educational setting is highly desirable. Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework is beneficial. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with children and their families. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative.
