Job Summary
We are on the lookout for a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator to become part of our childcare team. The successful applicant will play a key role in creating a nurturing and stimulating atmosphere for our young children, supporting their developmental needs through fun and engaging activities, along with personalised care. Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver fun, age-appropriate educational activities that encourage cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for the children in your care.
- Meet children's individual needs with tailored care plans and attentive supervision.
- Keep parents and guardians informed about their children's progress and overall wellbeing through open communication.
- Organise daily routines such as mealtimes, playtimes, and rest periods, ensuring smooth transitions throughout the day.
- Lead and mentor junior staff or volunteers, providing support and guidance to maintain high childcare standards.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including safeguarding practices.
- Contribute to the nursery's curriculum development by proposing new ideas and activities.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including record keeping and planning documentation.
Experience
- Proven experience with children in a nursery or early childhood setting.
- Demonstrated management or leadership experience within a childcare context.
- Strong grasp of child development principles and early childhood education frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
- Familiarity with childcare management systems is a plus but not essential.
