Purpose of the Role
The
Level 3 Early Years Educator
will play a key role in delivering exceptional early years education and care. Working closely with the team, you will create rich, child-led learning experiences that support each child's development across all areas of the EYFS.
You'll be responsible for planning, observation, assessment, and the day-to-day care of children, ensuring a nurturing, inclusive, and inspiring environment.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, deliver, and evaluate high-quality learning experiences in line with the EYFS and Reggio Emilia philosophy.
Build warm, trusting, and respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
Observe and document children's learning, progress, and interests, contributing to individual learning journeys and next steps.
Work collaboratively as part of a team to create a stimulating and inviting environment, both indoors and outdoors.
Promote children's independence, creativity, and critical thinking through play and exploration.
Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children at all times.
Support the emotional and social development of each child through positive, responsive interactions.
Contribute to reflective practice, staff meetings, and ongoing professional development.
Adhere to safeguarding and welfare requirements and maintain confidentiality at all times.
Be compassionate, patient, and have a nurturing attitude towards young children
Person Specification
Essential:
Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education and Childcare (e.g., Early Years Educator, NVQ, or equivalent).
Strong knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework.
A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their holistic development.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Commitment to inclusive practice and equality of opportunity.
Ability to use observation and assessment to inform planning and provision.
Desirable:
Experience in a Reggio Emilia-inspired, Montessori, or other child-centred setting.
Paediatric First Aid Certificate.
Understanding of the importance of environment as the "third teacher."
