Your role:
Work with Babes (Under 2's)
To act as keyworker for a group of children
To ensure our environments are safe, nurturing and engaging both indoors and out
To meet with our families at pick up times
To provide a high level of awareness of, and be responsive to the emotional needs of our children and their families
Plan fun and stimulating activities for our children so they thrive
Work as part of a team
Prepare lunch and snacks
Undertake team risk assessments
Complete daily online observations, records and paperwork
Be involved in helping new children to help them settle in
Liaise closely with our families, giving daily feedback on activities and exchanging information about progress and next steps
Qualities and characteristics:
Have a positive and nurturing approach to a child's early years development
Be committed to ensuring that your personal professional development remains up to date by accessing courses and current research on child development
Be an outgoing, friendly and enthusiastic person, able to have fun as part of a team
Essential skills and experience:
MUST hold a minimum Level 3 or equivalent in Early Years Childcare
Have experience working with babies/Under 2's
Have a good working knowledge of the EYFS and Birth to 5 Matters, and be able to give examples of this in practice
Have a good working knowledge of safeguarding
Hold a valid DBS
Be able to write observations, and keep up to date records
Salary: up to 28,178, negotiable depending on hours worked, experience and qualifications
