Job Description

Lavis Electrical are looking for an enthusiastic engineer with an extensive variety of experience within the electrical industry, which will include working within domestic, commercial and renewable sectors.

Minimum requirements for the successful candidate include:

- Must work to BS7671 18th Edition Amendment 2 regulations to a good and efficient standard
- 2 years+ (post qualified) hands on experience in the electrical industry
- Competency in inspection, testing, certification and reporting (Initial Verification and Periodic/EICR)
- Must be reliable, self-motivated, have excellent communication skills, be able to liaise professionally and in a pleasant manner and have pride in impeccable time keeping.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

- City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent craft qualification in Electrical Engineering)
- Certificate following completion of AM2 assessment
- 18th Edition BS7671 qualification
- 2391 Inspection & Testing (or equivalent Level 3 qualification)
- Hold or be able to complete a DBS check
- A clean and full UK driving licence

You will be expected to possess and demonstrate a high level of competence in all aspects of electrical installation including, but not limited to these job aspects:

- Install, repair, and maintain domestic and commercial electrical systems whilst observing all statutory and legal requirements
- Test and inspect your own and others work to ensure a safe and effective installation
- Undertake planned and reactive maintenance works orders and ensure all requirements are fully undertaken
- Ensuring all found non-conformances are fully reported and rectified
- Fault finding, diagnosis and repair
- Custom circuit design
- Electrical Installation Condition Reports
- Engaging with clients and tenants.
- Experience in the renewable sector is prefered, however training will be provided if required.
