APPLICATIONS ARE INVITED FOR THE FOLLOWING VACANCY:

QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN

We are looking for a highly driven and self-motivated individual; to work as part of our small team. The successful candidate will be trained as an Airfield Ground Lighting Engineer and will report directly to the Technical Services Manager.

Main Responsibilities and Duties are:

To install, maintain and repair all airport electrical systems both airside and landside. This will include Airfield Ground Lighting equipment (when full training has been provided), terminal facilities, CCTV, access control, baggage systems and car parks, Be the sole duty engineer at times, as part of shift watch keeping duties, Completion and recording of maintenance tasks to meet regulatory requirements.

Essential Key Skills and Qualifications Required:

Ability to work unsupervised on shifts and as part of the engineering team, 18th IEE Wiring Regulations Certification, A relevant testing qualification; i.e. City & Guilds 2391, 3 years practical experience in electrical installations or maintenance, A willingness to work on a wide variety of equipment and to learn new skills, Possess excellent oral and written communication skills, A full UK driving license.

Desirable Skills:

Experience working on airfield ground lighting HNC / HND in Electrical / Electronic Engineering Experience in commercial / light industrial electrical maintenance Hold or willing to be trained for working at height access equipment (MEWP) An understanding and interest in IT systems
This is a full-time position based on a shift pattern which covers weekend work and Bank Holidays, based on a rotating shift roster. Employment is subject to successfully clearing background checks.

Salary for the role is subject to qualifications and experience.
