We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical systems and a passion for problem-solving. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of machinery and vehicles from road sweeper, tippers, and Plant, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities
Diagnose mechanical issues using appropriate tools and techniques.
Perform routine maintenance on machinery and vehicles to prevent breakdowns.
Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems as necessary.
Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely project completion.
Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working in the workshop or on-site.
Keep the work area clean and organised, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored.
Skills
Proficient in mechanical diagnostics and repair techniques.
Strong understanding of hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Good communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues and clients.
Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a workshop environment is advantageous.
Relevant qualifications or certifications in mechanics or engineering are preferred but not essential.
