To assist in the day to day running of the Nursery, Out of School and Holiday Club. Working in partnership with the Managers and Senior Nursery Nurse.
DUTIES WILL INCLUDE
To comply with all policies and procedures set by Austin Community Enterprise Limited within the guidelines of OFSTED requirements.

To work as part of a team and to promote and follow daily routines to a high standard
To maintain individual children's records (Learning Journeys) to a high standard to the expectations of OFSTED, Early years and Austin Community Enterprise Ltd
Produce Development Records for individual children where needed
Become involved in the planning and promoting of daily activities to meet children's individual needs to comply with the EYFS
Provide stimulating, creative and safe play activities.
Provide opportunities for children to develop through play
Provide dedicated care for children throughout the day with regard to their physical, emotional and intellectual needs.
Manage and promote positive behaviour in compliance with our Behaviour Policy.
To Maintain a high standard of cleanliness within the setting including tidying away toys and equipment.
To liaise with parents (working in partnership) including your involvement in Parents Evenings
To hold a cleared DBS check and two satisfactory references
To maintain confidentiality at all times
To be punctual and reliable at all times.
Attend staff meetings or any other meetings.
Any other duties as directed by the Manager/Senior Nursery Nurse and/ or Room Leader.

To hold a relevant qualification in childcare

Previous experience of working with children aged 0-11 years

An understanding of good quality childcare

Ability to communicate at all levels

Ability to monitor and keep records

Current First Aid Certificate and administer first aid where necessary

Basic Food Hygiene certificate

Willing to attend relevant training courses

To be flexible

Provide a good role model for students and volunteers helping staff to fit into the Nursery
