Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team at Millie's Day Nursery in Borehamwood. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that supports the development and well-being of children in our care. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a key role in fostering positive relationships with both children and their families, ensuring that each child receives the best possible start in life.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years, following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning through play, ensuring each child's individual needs are met. Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children, staff, and visitors. Observe and assess children's progress, keeping accurate records to support their development. Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers, providing regular updates on their child's progress and well-being. Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a positive team atmosphere, demonstrating strong leadership and management skills when required. Ensure compliance with all safeguarding policies and procedures to protect the welfare of children in our care.

Experience

Proven experience working with young children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential. A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent. Strong communication skills in English are required for effective interaction with children, parents, and colleagues.
