Essential Qualifications
Applicants must hold one of the following (as per the DSA / SLC NMH Qualifications Matrix 2023):
Signature Level 3 Certificate in Lipspeaking
(or CACDP Level 3 Certificate).
Be a
Registered Lipspeaker with NRCPD
.
Lipspeakers already delivering DSA-funded support prior to July 2023 may continue, provided there has been no break in service longer than 12 months.
Skills & Expectations
Clear lip-repetition of speech, with effective use of facial expression, natural gesture, and fingerspelling where required.
Ability to work impartially and confidentially.
Experience in higher education settings is desirable but not essential.
Pay & Booking Terms
Hourly rate (freelance pay): 15-20/hr

Minimum booking:
2-3 hours per assignment.
Work available across the UK, with both in-person and online opportunities.
