We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to young children within a nurturing and safe environment. Duties
Plan and deliver engaging activities tailored to the developmental needs of children in accordance with early childhood education standards.
Supervise and support children during play, learning sessions, mealtimes, and outdoor activities.
Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment that promotes children's physical, emotional, and social development.
Observe and record children's progress, providing feedback to parents and colleagues as necessary.
Support children's individual needs, including behavioural management and personalised care plans.
Collaborate with colleagues to organise daily routines and special events within the nursery setting.
Uphold nursery policies and procedures related to health & safety, safeguarding, and confidentiality.
Assist with administrative tasks such as attendance records, activity planning, and resource organisation.
Contribute to ongoing professional development through training sessions and team meetings.
Qualifications
Proven experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting.
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and child development stages.
Strong management skills with the ability to lead a team effectively.
Leadership qualities to motivate colleagues and support team cohesion.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent are preferred.
Experience with nursery management or leadership roles is desirable.
Valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting children or resources when required.
