Overview


We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that promotes the development of young children. Your management and leadership skills will be essential in guiding both the children and the nursery team.

Duties



Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Plan and implement engaging activities that support the children's learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and collaboration. Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development, sharing information with parents as necessary. Support the nursery management team in maintaining a high standard of care, cleanliness, and organisation within the nursery setting. Assist in training and mentoring new staff members, promoting best practices in childcare. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures related to health and safety, safeguarding, and child protection.

Qualifications



A recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare (Level 3 or above). Previous experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is essential. Strong management and leadership skills to guide staff effectively. Excellent communication skills in English to engage with children, parents, and colleagues. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel between locations if required. A commitment to ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in childcare practices.
