Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with children in a nursery setting, particularly with babies under 2 years of age.

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their development and wellbeing.

Duties

Provide high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years. Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records of their development. Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers, providing updates on children's progress and addressing any concerns. Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive team environment that supports the needs of all children. Ensure the nursery environment is safe, clean, and conducive to learning. Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development.

Skills

Strong team player to support colleagues effectively. Previous experience working within a nursery and with under 2s is essential. Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, to engage with children, parents, and colleagues. A caring attitude towards children, demonstrating patience and understanding in all interactions.
