The Croft Nursery in Stonehaven are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that promotes the development and well-being of children in your care. You will work closely with parents and colleagues to ensure that each child's individual needs are met.
Duties
Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0-12 years
Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development in line with the Curriculum for Excellence.
Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to track their development.
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster positive relationships.
Manage daily routines, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for all children.
Support children's emotional and social development through positive interactions and guidance.
Collaborate with team members to create an inclusive atmosphere that respects diversity.
Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
Skills
Experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
A qualification in Social Services, Children and Young People (SCQF Level 7) or equivalent is essential.
Strong leadership skills to manage activities and guide other staff members when necessary.
Ability to enhance children's learning experiences.
Passion for nurturing children's growth through play-based learning.
